SUNBURY – If you like beer, wine, and food, then Boos and Brews is the event for you. An event that started as a way to get people out in the Sunbury hill community has turned into an annual event. This year’s “Boos and Brews” is Saturday at the Armory.
Renee Albertson is chairman of the annual event, “Initially, it started as we were going to do a home brew festival, and my husband and I happen to be home brewers. And it kind of morphed into something completely different.”
This year’s event features 20 beers and wines, five food vendors, and a live band. Tickets are $25, which gives you a tasting glass and admission. Food is a separate cost, “That tasting glass they can take around to the different vendors and they can try all of the different beer each vendor has brought to the event.”
A third of the proceeds will be donated to the Northumberland County Children and Youth Services, the rest go to the Sunbury Hill Neighborhood’s many projects. Hear more from Alberston at WKOK.com. (Matt Catrillo)
