One serious injury from multi-vehicle crash

SHAMOKIN DAM – A three-vehicle accident Wednesday in Shamokin Dam injured two people, including a serious injury to a woman. Selinsgrove state police say the crash occurred just before 7 a.m. on Routes 11/15 south at an intersection with an unnamed street.

Police say 26-year-old Brittany Myers of Sunbury pulled into the merge lane from Route 61 onto Routes 11/15. While merging, Myers struck a vehicle driven by 47-year-old Steven Rishel of Bloomsburg, who was driving south on 11/15. As a result, Myers’ vehicle spun counter-clockwise.

Rishel’s vehicle veered into the merge lane and then struck the vehicle of 71-year-old Jean Yeager of Sunbury. Yeager was transported to the hospital for treatment of her serious injuries. Myers suffered a minor injury. (Matt Catrillo)
