LEWISBURG – We told you in September about Lewisburg’s Donald Eichhorn Middle School receiving the National Blue Ribbon award. Wednesday the school received a plaque for the honor. State Senator Gene Yaw (R-23rd, Williamsport) presented school Principal George Drozin with a Pennsylvania Senate Proclamation recognizing the School for receiving the National Blue Ribbon Award.

Donald Eichhorn Middle already took part in a ceremony in November in Washington, D.C.    The school was one of 18 Pennsylvania Schools recognized with the Blue Ribbon Award. The award honors public and private elementary, middle, and high schools where students achieve high learning standards or are making significant improvements in closing the achievement gap.
