LEWISBURG – So much to do and see at this weekend’s Lewisburg Arts Festival. This weekend begins the annual festival along Market Street in Lewisburg, which will be shut down Saturday. The main events are Saturday, beginning at 9:45 a.m. with the raising of the American Flag and all vendors open at 10 a.m.
Sara Kelly, Lewisburg Arts Council board member, “We have seven blocks worth of juried artists, three performing stages, everything from theatre, to dance, to rolling stones.”
Saturday’s festivities will also feature three performing areas, including a dance corner at Post Office Square, “So if you like to watch dancing or take part in dancing, we’ve got dancing schools from Bellefonte to Danville and everywhere in between, including two in Lewisburg. Our main stage has four acts this year, including Tyco drumming, which is a Japanese drumming and art and dance style which I think will be really neat.”
The festival also features Simonne Roy, the featured artist for 2018. You can see more information at www.lewisburgartscouncil.com.
