Home invasion and burglary in Snyder County

SELINSGROVE—A house was broken into Thursday in Washington Township, Snyder County. Selinsgrove State Police say a male suspect broke into a residence through a locked door, ransacked the home, and fled the scene.

At this time it is unknown what was taken from the residence. Troopers believe the man was bitten by the family dog and may have suffered an injury.

The suspect fled the scene in a red SUV with possible damage to the rear bumper on the passenger side. It is believed the suspect fled towards the Freeburg area. The suspect is described as a male with a thin build, wearing all black with a black ski mask.
