SUNBURY – A Valley pharmacy closed its doors…but not to worry, its re-opening at a new location with new features. Custom Care Pharmacy in Sunbury is opening its doors at its new and improved location at 439 Market Street today, which was the old Medical Center building. It’ll be open today until 6 p.m. The pharmacy made the move from its location at 300 Market Street, which was the old social security building, after five and a half years.
Owner Adam Rosinski says expanding pharmacy workspace was one reason for the move, “So we’ve gone from a workspace of five employees to where our actual pharmacy area can now contain about 11 employees. We have four drop-off windows, where before we really only had two. And then we expanded to two registers from one register.”
Rosinski says the pharmacy will now offer a bigger line of durable medical equipment, “There’s no one in Sunbury offering that anymore. There was Universal Medical but that closed around December. So we are picking up for what they were offering at their location by offering lift chairs, wheel chairs, canes, walkers, rollators, and then surgical or wound supplies.”
Rosinski also says there’s better accessible parking in the rear of the building. Rosinski says he hopes the new location can help revitalize downtown Sunbury, “We have put a lot of money into renovating this building. It feels good to get into this new space and know we did a really good job on renovating a very old building in downtown Sunbury to help to revitalize that downtown.”
Business hours are 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and 9 a.m to 2 p.m. Saturday.
