In Mifflinburg, cops say meth lab blows, one injured, one in custody

MIFFLINBURG—There was a house fire being reported in Mifflinburg, Union County Friday afternoon. Union County 9-1-1 says the fire was at 393 Thompson Street in the borough.

A volunteer fire fighter on the scene says a possible explosion started the fire and there is one burn victim, and possibly one suspect in custody. There were unconfirmed reports from the scene that the home may have been the location of a meth lab. The fire was dispatched just before 2:30 pm.

Mifflinburg, Lewisburg, New Berlin, West End, and Penns Creek fire companies are on the scene along with West End Ambulances and Mifflinburg Police and state police.
