Central PA Chamber dedicates room to late president

MILTON — The Central PA Chamber of Commerce dedicated their new training facility to their late president and CEO Bruce Smith, Jr.   “The Smith Room” was dedicated Tuesday evening during the annual Member Appreciation Celebration, an event Bruce started back in 2014.

The Training Center is 1,000 square feet of newly renovated space. In a statement, the chamber said it will be a location for future Seminar and Training Series and Building Leaders for the Susquehanna Valley classes. Upon entering the center, visitors will see a picture of Bruce with a plaque hanging below.

Nearly 175 people attended the membership celebration, Tuesday. The dedication included a proclamation  from US Congressman Lou Barletta (R-11th, Hazelton), a spokesman for the congressman read the proclamation. There was also a balloon release organized by Bruce Smith’s family. Smith died in May after serving as President and CEO four years.
