MIFFLINBURG – A former Midd-West teacher, facing morals offenses, will have to wait for his first day in court. Tuesday‘s scheduled preliminary hearing was delayed for 44-year-old Kurt Sprenkel of Middleburg. He was a fifth grade teacher at West Snyder Elementary, and was scheduled to appear in front of Magisterial District Judge Jeffrey Mensch.
Sprenkel’s lawyer says one of the alleged victims who was subpoenaed was unavailable to attend. A new date is being scheduled. Sprenkel is accused of touching three female students inappropriately during an outdoor education camp last fall.
